The Next Generation

In season 1, episode 2, J-Berd Mechanical of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota started the J-Berd Learning Program with local high schools to find the next generation of plumbers. In episode two, we meet some high school students and their mentor Jacob Masters.

The Plumbing Trade has been experiencing a shortage of workers, with the most experienced professionals approaching retirement. At the same time, not enough men and women are willing to learn the trade. Companies like J-Berd Mechanical are taking it into their own hands to show high school students that trade-focused paths make great careers without a 4-year degree.

It's up to everyone in the industry to address this ongoing concern. We're excited to do our part in highlighting the work of J-Berd Mechanical and inspire others to do the same.
