Meet Erwin Chavez from Franzese Plumbing.
Read his American Plumber story!
How did you get started in the plumbing trade?
I was a sheet metal worker during the recession in 2009 and was was laid off for about a year. In 2011 I was picked up by Plumbers Local 519 out of Miami, FL and have been plumbing ever since. It was the greatest opportunity and I was lucky to take advantage of it.
What do you like most about your work as a plumber?
Everything, I learn something new every day. Meeting new customer and solving the problem is a very rewarding feeling.
What advice do you have for the younger generation entering the plumbing trade?
Discipline and dedication to the craft. And always have an open mind to learn from an array of different people and different ages.
