Garrett Boylan: American Plumber Story

Read his American Plumber story!
How did you get started in the plumbing trade?
I first did some plumbing work for a plumber who was doing work for my father. It seemed enjoyable and I always knew that I wanted to get into the trades. With my brother being an electrician, that made me want to do something like plumbing to maybe start a business together later in life
What do you like most about your work as a plumber?
I like how the work seems to be different day to day. I also enjoy the pride you take in your work to make everything neat and cleaned and planned out. I just enjoy working, growing up on a cattle ranch made me want to stay busy and plumbing will always be busy.
What advice do you have for the younger generation entering the plumbing trade?
Pay attention and learn everything you can. Take time to do the job right the first time and ask questions whenever you have a chance. Put effort into every job and do it right.
